SLNB Studios is the hub of SLNB Publishing and has been established since 1987. First set up as the personal work station for owner Stephen McIntosh to continue producing and writing the many hits enjoyed by his hit making group The Cool-Notes. But because of the studio’s location and the fact that there was nothing else like it locally, word quickly went around and many local musicians, song writers and producers were keen to work at the studio.

In the early 90’s the large recording studio was slowly becoming the thing of the past as producers and writers alike started to rely on the so called smaller Midi studios especially for their pre-production work, so as the technology grew more and more advanced and the price of such technology began to get cheaper and cheaper it opened the flood gates to the new era of the home studio or as most owners would prefer to call them ‘Project Studios’.
